Life Beyond Cancer (LBC) IXwas held December 11-14, 2008 at the Miraval Resort in Tucson, Arizona. While restorative in nature, this was a working weekend designed for survivors and nurses wishing to learn more about survivorship skills and community advocacy. Participants experienced a series of lectures and workshops aimed at encouraging them to return to their sponsoring practices and communities with a willingness to become involved in grassroots projects supporting patients and families affected by cancer.
