For the millions of people facing cancer, the struggle of paying for treatment can be as daunting as the treatment itself. The US Oncology Foundation works with local nonprofit partners and community organizations to maximize monies available to cancer patients for living expenses so they can focus on what is most important – the healing process.

The US Oncology Foundation links cancer patients to the resources they need, and assists local communities with cancer prevention programs to reduce incidence and mortality.

* 1 in 8 people with advanced cancer turn down recommended care because of the cost, according to a new analysis from Thomson Reuters
* Nearly 20% of Americans have problems paying their medical bills, according to a report in September 2008 from the Center for Studying Health System Change

Emergency Financial Assistance
Among its other programs, the US Oncology Foundation offers emergency financial assistance to cancer patients currently in treatment to provide for living expenses (utilities, transportation, rent, mortgage payments). Funds are limited and initially available to patients undergoing cancer treatment in Texas. Please contact the Foundation office for an application.
